Data Deletion Request

Guests: delete from inside the app

If you have a guest account, the fastest way to delete it is from the Zula app:

• Open Zula and sign in
• Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account
• Re-enter your password and confirm

Your account, bookings, messages, ratings, and saved cards are removed immediately. Anonymised transaction records are retained for legal and tax compliance only and cannot be linked back to you.

Operators, drivers, and email requests

Operator and driver accounts can't be deleted from the app because of active subscriptions, payouts, and outstanding bookings that need to be settled first. If that's you — or if you no longer have access to the app — send an email to support@gozula.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Include the following:

• Your full name
• The email address or phone number associated with your Zula account
• Confirmation that you want your account and data permanently deleted

What data is deleted

Upon processing your request, we will permanently delete:

• Your account profile (name, email, phone number)
• Your saved payment methods (tokenised card references)
• Your booking preferences and search history
• Your push notification tokens

What data is retained

For legal and financial record-keeping purposes, we retain anonymised records of:

• Completed booking transactions (anonymised, for tax and accounting compliance)
• Payment records (required by South African financial regulations)

These records cannot be linked back to your identity after deletion.

Processing time

In-app deletions are processed immediately. Email requests are reviewed and processed within 30 days of receipt. You'll receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

Any outstanding payments must be settled before your account can be deleted.
